Administrative Assistant
The Phoenix School of Law is currently seeking an energetic, team-player for the position of Administrative Assistant. This position will provide support to the Assistant Director of the Information Resources Center (IRC) with the highest level of excellence, professionalism, sensitivity, and confidentiality. Responsibilities will include but not limited to invoicing and vendor relations; liaison with HR and Finance departments; assist Assistant Director with calendaring, document and file administration, track projects, and expense tracking; office supply administration; time sheet control; share PhoenixLaw phone line duties as needed; record minutes of IRC meetings; outgoing/incoming mail distribution; greet visitors entering IRC; and other responsibilities as assigned.
A successful candidate for this position will have an Associate's degree in a closely related field; Bachelor's degree preferred, with 3-5 years administrative support to a single leader or group of professionals within an office environment; higher education institution experience preferred.

Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing and oversight of the deliverables of the human resource department and other tasks as assigned. Specific objectives include: leading, planning, organizing and directing all procedures and activities related to human resources management, including personnel operations, employee relations, policy and procedure development, equal employment opportunities, compensation management, benefits administration, training and development, and recruitment and selection. Ensure compliance with federal, state laws, and school policies; actively participates in process improvement and best practices with a strong student and employee orientation; understanding of leading-edge human resource management concepts, practices and information systems; provide human resources strategic planning to direct and support the law school’s mission; and act as an ambassador and role model for institutional culture.
The successful team member in this role must possess a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources administration, or closely related field, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years professional experience in human resources is a must. Experience in higher education is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, management, organizational, problem solving skills required. Top notch communication skills, and process improvement skills required. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially with faculty, managers, staff, students, executives, and/or administrators. Strong Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet skills.

Public Services Librarian
PhoenixLaw currently has an opening for a Public Services Librarian in the Information Resources Center (IRC). As a member of the Public Services team, the Public Services Librarian provides legal and non-legal reference services to the faculty and growing student body through a variety of services. These services include but are not limited to one-on-one sessions, email communications, lectures and written study aides. Additional responsibilities include working shifts at the reference desk and answer legal reference and general questions from patrons and check materials in and out; participate in the faculty liaison program which entails corresponding with your faculty to get their research needs, responding to requests for information, and participating with research assistance; provide legal research instruction through one-on-one sessions, lectures, and participation in the Lawyering Process program; assist with the collection development of the IRC; assist in writing and implementing policies and procedures; prepare bibliographic guides for patrons; supervise law library assistants; and assist in supervising circulation aides during reference desk shifts. Other duties will be assigned as appropriate. This position reports to the Assistant Director of the IRC.
The successful candidate for this position will possess an M.L.S., M.L.I.S. or equivalent from an ALA-accredited school; J.D. degree (preferred) or equivalent legal knowledge and experience. Law library experience, academic law library preferred. Customer service experience in dealing with the public; classroom instructional experience, preferred; experience with integrated library system software; Innovative Interfaces (III) Millennium preferred; working knowledge of standard computer software programs (Windows, MS Office applications); knowledge of the Library of Congress classification system; knowledge of legal research materials in all formats; strong interpersonal skills; competent oral and written communication skills; ability to lift and carry at least 30+ pounds and to push and pull 100 pound rolling book carts; sit for long periods of time; and monitor a computer display for long periods of time.
